Readmission Requirements
Students registered in a program of study must enroll continuously for fall and spring semesters until the completion of the degree.
Students who previously completed a minimum of one semester and course work in a University of Arizona graduate degree program but who have not enrolled for one or more semesters (fall/spring) or received an approved Leave of Absence, are required to apply for readmission. Previous admission to the Graduate College does not guarantee readmission at a later date. Financial penalties for violation of continuous registration requirements may also be imposed. A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on all graduate-level study completed at the University of Arizona is required for readmission. Students who have been enrolled elsewhere since their last attendance at The University of Arizona must submit official transcripts of that study at the time of application for readmission. Students who obtained graduate credit in Non-Degree status are required to apply for admission in order to complete a graduate degree. No more than 12 credit hours earned while in Non-degree status may count toward a degree.
International students who have been outside the U.S. for two or more years since their last enrollment at The University of Arizona may be required to submit current TOEFL scores. Additionally, international applicants who need visa documents to be issued by the Graduate Admissions Office are required to submit a current financial guarantee statement.
