Summer Only Attendance

The University of Arizona offers three summer session options. The first option is the Pre-Session which is held in May between the end of the spring semester and the beginning of the first summer session. After that are two summer sessions, each consisting of five weeks of study. Summer Session I will begin in early June and Summer Session II begins in early July.

Some graduate student schedules will only allow them to take coursework in the Summer. Students who only enroll in Summer coursework will be identified as "Summer Only" graduate students. Summer Only students are not required to submit an application for readmission for the following summer.

Students who do not attend consecutive summers will be required to submit an application for readmission. Likewise, those who elect to enroll in a Fall or Spring term following their Summer attendance may be required to apply for readmission. Refer to the Readmission Requirements for related information.
