International Exchange Programs

The University of Arizona has entered into several Memorandums of Agreement with various universities around the world. One component of these agreements is the exchange of students. Student exchanges allow students to engage in graduate level coursework and, possibly, transfer the coursework back to their home university in order to be applied to the degree program in which they are currently enrolled. Memorandums of Agreement carry a clause that waives University of Arizona tuition and registration fees.

Students are selected to participate in the exchange by their home country university and are identified as exchange participants by the University of Arizona Office of Study Abroad & Student Exchange. The Graduate College monitors the Memorandums of Agreement to ensure current program status and approval of graduate level student participation.

Exchange students are required to submit official documents as listed below. Once the entire application is received by the Office of Study Abroad & Student Exchange, it will be sent to the department of interest for review and recommendation. If your department recommends admission, and all admission requirements are met by the exchange student, the Graduate Admissions Office will admit the applicant in an unclassified status.
