Preparation for Graduate Study
If you are a prospective UA graduate student, let us help you identify graduate programs and potential faculty mentors whose research is aligned with your research interests. Fill out our prospective student web form to get that conversation started, call 520.626.0095, or send an email. We also meet with prospective students at career fairs and conferences such as SACNAS, ABRCMS, AISES, and the California Diversity Forums. Follow us on Facebook for regular updates about UA's Graduate College.
There are a number of prestigious institutional, national, and private scholarships and fellowships available to support you and your educational goals. In many cases, these is no separate application for you to complete; we work closely with UA departments and centers to identify top candidates for these awards.
Many students value the opportunity to engage in funded undergraduate research in preparation for graduate school. Be sure to look into our Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium (UROC).
If you are affiliated with a federally-sponsored program serving underrepresented students, you are eligible for a Graduate College Application Fee Waiver.
- Select your sponsored program affiliation on the graduate application's question number five.
- Ask your program director to contact Donna Treloar by email (email@example.com) or fax (520-626-3590) and provide verification of your participation in the program.
- Send Donna the email address that you are using to apply on-line.
- A fee waiver will be approved upon receipt of verification. If you complete the application before verification has been received, please DO NOT PAY. You will be notified by email once the waiver is processed.
