The College of Nursing no longer offers a Master's degree program. Students interested in advanced practice nursing should consider the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has called for the adoption by 2015 of the DNP as the terminal nursing practice degree. The College of Nursing offers three advanced practice specialties for students seeking nurse practitioner preparation: Adult Acute Care, Family and Pediatric.
