Federal State and Institutional Aid
Eligibility for need-based grants, loans, scholarships, and Federal Work-Study progrms is determined by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form available on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. Paper applications are also widely available. Many funds are limited so those students who have their FAFSA completed by March 1 each academic year receive priority processing. Applicants must have been admitted to a degree program before Office of Student Financial Aid will make financial aid awards. Many UA programs of financial assistance to students are based on need; therefore, graduate students are urged to file the FAFSA whether or not they intend to obtain federal student loans. Graduate students must be enrolled at least halftime in order to receive Federal loans. Contact the Office of Student Financial Aid: (520) 621-1858, Administration Building, Room 208, Email: askaid@arizona.edu.
