Meritorious Awards
- Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship (PDF)
- Graduate Tuition Scholarship
- Graduate College Fellowship
- Graduate College Thesis/Dissertation Waiver
Description: A scholarship grant to cover any portion of non-resident tuition and/or registration fees (also known as in-state tuition).
Eligibility: Student must:
- be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at The University of Arizona for three or more graduate units;
- be in good academic standing; and
- have a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Application Procedure: Students should contact his or her department to obtain information regarding specific application guidelines and availability.
Range of Support: Based on the current non-resident tuition and registration fee rate
Deadline: Students should contact the graduate advisor in his or her department for information regarding departmental deadlines.
Reviewed by: The department selects the award recipient.

Description: Generally a stipend of $10,000 for one academic year.
Eligibility: Student must:
- be admitted to Regular Graduate Status in a graduate degree program at The University of Arizona;
- have a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.00 or higher;
- be in good academic standing; and
- enroll for nine or more units during the fellowship period.
Application Procedure: Please consult with your departmental Graduate Coordinator or College Dean's Office for applicable procedures and deadlines.
Range of Support: Awards range from $1,000 to $10,000
Reviewed by: The department selects the recipient. The Graduate College verifies eligibility.

Description: Waiver of non-resident tuition only. (Not applicable to summer session fees)
Eligibility: Student must:
- be enrolled at The University of Arizona for not less than one (1) and not more than six (6) units of 900-level units only, and
- not be using university resources (e.g. libraries, computers, labs, faculty time) to any significant extent, except for exams, final defense and some advising.
Application Procedure: Students must be recommended by their Graduate Coordinator and may not apply directly to the Graduate College for the award. Departments recommend the student to the Graduate College at 900levelwaivers@grad.arizona.edu for approval and processing.
Range of Support: The maximum values is for 6 units based on the current non-resident tuition rate.
Recommended Deadline: Two (2) weeks in advance of tuition payment deadline. (see current schedule of classes.)
Reviewed by: Department and Graduate College.
Date of Award: As waivers are approved.
Limitations: May only be used for up to four (4) semesters.
