Our team, including RPCV's and Desert Doves, was the top fundraising team in the organization category for the second year in a row!

Oct. 14, 2008 - UA Cares Kickoff - Hannah Carlson shared her experience as a Peace Corps Fellow with UA Cares Kickoff. Hannah served in Azerbaijan and is a graduate student in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. She has served as a Peace Corps Fellow with Cooperative Extension in Santa Cruz county. She has established 4-H groups, supported a youth summer camp, built coalitions and provided nutritional education workshops, connecting her work to her graduation requirements. In addition to being a UA Peace Corps Fellow, Hannah has received scholarship awards from Canyon Ranch Foundation. Sept. 6, 2008 - High School Wash Trash Pickup and Streambed Assessment - As part of orientation week activities, Fellows teamed up with Watershed Management Group and Rincon Heights Neighborhood south of campus, for a trashpickup of the wash. This year we removed 48 bags of trash, removed 6 bags of buffellgrass and helped assess the erosion and other conditions of the streambed.
