Monthly information meetings are held on campus and at various Tucson locations. Request a Speaker
- If your organization in Tucson or southern Arizona would like to request a speaker who has served in U.S. Peace Corps, please click here on the Speaker Request Form and complete the request. We will do our best to provide you with a speaker who is a Peace Corps Fellow or a speaker from the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Southern Arizona. Please email requests to rpcf@grad.arizona.edu.
- Additional information for educators on becoming a Paul D. Coverdell WorldWise Schools can be found on the U.S. Peace Corps website. Volunteers in the field are willing to correspond with classrooms, and many curricular materials are available for classroom presentations.
Desert Doves - Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Southern Arizona
- Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Southern Arizona has 75+ active members who meet monthly, engage in service projects and raise funds for Peace Corps Partners projects around the world. Email Desert Doves or visit their website at Desert Doves for information. All Tucson RPCV's are welcome to attend the Desert Doves meetings - see the website for a schedule. Desert Doves supports the Peace Corps Partnership program through sales of the Peace Corps Calendar and special fund-raising events. Desert Doves and UA Peace Corps Fellows collaborate on service projects during the year and several Fellows have become officers of the organization.
Friends of Fellows
- Approximately 60 UA faculty and staff are RPCV’s and provide excellent support for the Peace Corps Fellows.
- Campus RPCVs, friends and family are invited to become "Friends of Fellows" or members of the UA Peace Corps Fellows Club. We invite Friends of Fellows to join us in our social and service events, and to especially join us in Peace Corps Week activities. Email us to be added to Friends of Fellows. Some 800+ RPCV's reside in Southern Arizona. If you move to Arizona, remember to update your address on the peacecorps.gov website!
