Eligibility

  • Undergraduate juniors and seniors who come from underrepresented backgrounds, i.e., who are underrepresented in graduate school, are eligible. This includes, but is not limited to, for instance, low income/first generation students; males in occupations such as nursing; females in mathematics, physical sciences and engineering; Hispanics, Native Americans, African Americans, and Pacific Islanders; Asian American students in the humanities and social sciences; and disabled students.
  • Enrollment during the previous year in an accredited four year university or community college.
  • U.S. citizenship, Permanent Residence or Refugee status.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, and
  • Successful completion of 85 semester units toward a bachelor's degree.
