Created to provide students with training in advanced nutritional sciences as well as professional skill development through the completion of PLUS courses, the Professional Science Masters in Applied Nutrition will prepare graduates to successfully compete for jobs in the nutrition workforce. The Professional Science Masters in Applied Nutrition program is responsive to the challenges faced by today's nutrition professionals and provides a path to advancement outside of the traditional, research-intensive M.S. degree.
Tuition for those accepted into the program is $650 per unit for both residents and non-residents. Do not use the Bursars Tuition Table.

The School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness at the University of Arizona offers traditional graduate research programs leading to a Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nutritional Sciences under the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. A minor in Nutritional Sciences is offered to Ph.D. students. The School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness also offers online graduate programs, including a Graduate Certificate in Applied Nutrition designed to be completed in only 8 months, an Applied Nutrition - Nutrition & Wellness emphasis professional science master (non-thesis) designed to be completed in 18 months as well as an ACEND accredited Future Education Model - Graduate program, Applied Nutrition - Dietetics emphasis Professional Science Master’s program.

All courses will be fully distributed through online course tool platforms and technology. Capstone coursework does require work in the field of nutrition/health/wellness in the community setting.
Minimal GPA in the program: 3.0
The PSM in Applied Nutrition requires 6 units of PLUS/elective coursework, based on the student's career and knowledge goals. Students are able to choose coursework of their choice, choose 6 units from:

Capstone coursework (NSC 698A and NSC 698B) requires completion of 270 hours of work with the capstone site on the project(s).
