The PhD minor in Epidemiology is designed for individuals from other University of Arizona doctoral degree programs who wish to obtain graduate training in Epidemiology.

Admission to the minor must be approved by the Epidemiology minor faculty representative and the Epidemiology Program Director, no later than enrollment in the second minor course. The college form used to declare the minor should be completed and submitted prior to completion of the first semester of minor coursework
Required PhD Minor in Epidemiology Courses (at least 15 units)
*Minor course prerequisites: It is the responsibility of the student to have met course prerequisites (if not already required for the student’s major): *EPID 573A, Basic Principles of Epidemiology
The 3-unit elective must be 600-level or above and offered by the Epidemiology Program and approved by Epidemiology Minor Advisor. Some examples of electives include:
All Epidemiology minors will be required to complete a written examination of Epidemiology Principles. The Minor Advisor participates in the comprehensive exam process and must also be included in the Dissertation Committee.
Minor GPA requirement: 3.5/4.0 scale in the required PhD Minor in Epidemiology courses.
