Graduate Student Workshops for Spring 2017

We partner with UA Libraries and the Think Tank to offer targeted workshops for graduate students. These FREE workshops cover topics such as managing your library resources, important skills and strategies for academic success, and writing in grad school.

Workshops occur on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. Workshops will occur at La Aldea Graduate Housing, just south of 4th Street and west of Tyndall Avenue (west and south of the Tyndall Garage). Your map app will find it at 825 E. 5th Street.

New Cohort of Two Dozen University Fellows Named

A wide range of disciplines are represented by students have been named to the UA Graduate College University Fellows program's 2016-2017 cohort.

A South Korean researcher who intends to improve sustainability efforts in the mining industry, an ecologist studying how species change behaviors due to shifts in the environment, and a psychologist working to improve the conditions of cancer patients and survivors are new members of the University Fellows program.

In graduate education, most recruiting happens at the department level and at professional meetings/conferences. The Graduate College provides central support for recruitment efforts by sending representatives to a select set of fairs and conferences each year.
