UROC Application for 2017

Thank you for submitting your application to the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium (UROC) at The University of Arizona (UA).

UROC seeks to increase graduate school access for students from groups underrepresented in graduate education. Funding amounts and selection criteria vary from program to program, as determined by institutional or federal grant policies. Preference will be given to students who plan to enroll in graduate programs in Fall 2018.

About the UROC application process:

  • The final application deadline for:
    - STAR / UROC-PREP / AWARDSS is November 15th
    - All other UROC programs is February 1st (or as posted per program)
  • You will be asked to provide your major GPA as well as your cumulative GPA as it appears on your transcript. Instructions on how to calculate a GPA.
  • The application must be completed in one sitting. Data will not be saved until you press submit at the end of the application. So be sure to:
    - Review the entire application carefully
    - Prepare your text for all short answer essays in a word processing software file in order to cut and paste it into your application
    - Know your current cumulative GPA and calculate your GPA in your major
    - Complete the entire application prior to hitting submit
