UROC Application for 2022 - Gradute College's summer-only undergraduate research programs - application deadline is February 1

Thank you for your interest in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium (UROC) at The University of Arizona (UArizona).  UROC seeks to increase graduate school access for students from groups underrepresented in graduate education. Funding amounts and selection criteria vary from program to program, as determined by institutional or federal grant policies.  Review program eligibility guidelines by visiting program websites.

This application is shared by the Graduate College UROC programs: Ronald E. McNair Achievement Program (McNair), UROC-PREP, AWARDSS, Summer Research Institute (SRI), and Minimizing Health Disparities (MHD).  If you are interested in applying to a UROC affiliated research program, B2, CAT Vehicle, REU-HF, please visit their individual website.   

About the UROC application process:

  • The final application deadline for:
    - MCNAIR, UROC-PREP, and AWARDSS is  extended to November 15th.
    - SRI and MHD is February 1st.
  • The application must be completed in one sitting. Data will not be saved until you press submit at the end of the application. So be sure to:
    - Review the entire application carefully.
    - Prepare your text for all short answer essays in a word processing software file in order to cut and paste it into your application.
    - Know your current cumulative GPA and calculate your GPA in your major.  Instructions on how to calculate a GPA.
    - Complete the entire application prior to hitting submit.
    - Letters of recommendation are not required for this application.
