The graduate program provides research training in ecology and evolutionary biology with areas of strength in biological diversity, evolutionary history and mechanisms, community structure, ecological interactions, behavior, development and mathematical biology.

EEB does not have a minimum requirement for GRE scores. Scores are taken into consideration with the rest of the application package.
Required English Proficiency Tests for International Students
Minimum TOEFL: 79 (internet based) or 550 (paper based)
Minimum IELTS: Composite of 7 (no subject lower than 6)
Minimum credits: 30
Core coursework: ECOL 600A - Fundamentals of Evolution (strongly recommended), ECOL 600B - Fundamentals of Ecology (strongly recommended)
At least once each year beginning in the second year, students must meet with his/her Thesis Committee.
