In March 2023, Fellows participated in Grad Slam, a campus-wide competition for graduate students at the University of Arizona. Each student is given 3-minutes to give a high-level overview of their chosen topic of study or work. All of the UA Peace Corps Coverdell Fellows participate in Grad Slam in order to showcase their work in the community or classroom. This past year, Collin Gillespie made it to the final round with his presentation on riparian mesquite trees.
