Evening Weekend and Distance Learning


The University of Arizona provides opportunities for graduate study in several formats, including evening, weekend, and distance learning classes. Students wishing to enroll in graduate course work taken through Continuing Education and Academic Outreach, must submit an appropriate Graduate College application and fee, meet entrance requirements, and be officially admitted by the Graduate College. Graduate programs available through UA Distance Learning include:
  • the Master of Arts degree with a major in Information Resources and Library Science;
  • the Master of Science degree with majors in electrical and computer engineering, systems engineering, or reliability and quality engineering;
  • the Master of Science degree with a major in optical sciences;
  • the Master of Engineering degree (Tri-University Program);
  • Professional Certificates in Reliability and Quality Engineering, Systems Engineering and Optical Sciences; and
  • The Gerontology Certificate Program.

The MEng program is designed to be completed totally through distance learning. The professional certificate programs can be completed without coming to campus.
