The University of Arizona (UA) Graduate College will provide up to a $5,000 fellowship match to the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award for up to 3 students newly admited to a graduate degree program at the Uninversity of Arizona. The award applies to the first year of graduate study only.

Deadline to apply for 2021-22: June 28, 2021

Eligibility

Recipient must

  1. Be a new admit to a graduate degree program at the University of Arizona (UA) for the fall term of award
  2. Have done the AmeriCorps or Vista service in the southern part of the state of Arizona (Tucson and surrounding vicinities). Admits to UA law, medical, online, and graduate certificate programs are not eligible
  3. Show proof of AmeriCorps or Vista service.

Please note that there are only 3 awards per academic year. Funds are need-based and therefore require that awardees demonstrate sufficient financial need in order to receive the award. Financial need is determined through the filing of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid (https://fafsa.ed.gov/).
