Information for students admitted to the Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP) program in or after the Fall semester of 2026.
Overview – The Graduate College accepts prospective candidates for the degree of Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP). Students will be awarded the Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree if they satisfactorily complete all program student learning outcomes and graduate competencies:
1. Satisfactory completion of all didactic and clinical courses with a score of “PASS”, within five (5) consecutive years of commencing the program.
2. Satisfactory completion of the end-of-didactic summative written exam and OSCE, at the end of the didactic phase of the curriculum.
3. Satisfactory completion of the end of curriculum examination administered in the last four months of the program of study.
4. Satisfactory completion of the end of curriculum summative practical assessment administered in the last four months of the program.
5. Satisfactory completion of the Capstone project.
6. Total Credits for Graduation: 107
7. Remain in good academic and professional standing.
8. Plan of Study: The Plan of Study will be submitted for a student in the MPAP program by the Director of Registration and Records.
9. Time Limit: Students must complete the two and a half-year program in accordance with accreditation requirements within a maximum timeframe of 5 years.
10. Important Degree Dates and Deadlines:
- Responsible Conduct Form – Student must be acknowledged in GradPath
- Master Plan of Study – Generally by the 3rd semester, if earlier - will be entered by the Graduate Advisor (Director, Registration & Records).
- Master Completion Confirmation Form - Submitted by the Graduate Program Coordinator (or Director of Registration and Records) on behalf of the student to initiate the final Graduate College degree audit.
- Commencement and Degree Award Date – the University of Arizona Degree Award dates.
